What is Business Continuity?

Business Continuity is the uninterrupted flow of business. In today’s bigger, better, faster and cheaper business model, it is imperative to have the systems and processes in place that insure that your business is not interrupted through vulnerabilities of your communications, security and management processes.

What is the difference between Business Continuity Consulting and other consultants?

The difference lies in the fact that Business Continuity Consulting has a program in place that starts from a macro perspective of how your business flows before identifying and addressing solutions to micro processes.

Why do you offer Consulting and Coaching? Aren’t they the same?

No. There are stark differences between consulting and coaching.

First, consulting differs from coaching in that consulting involves identifying and analyzing issues and making recommendations for realistic action plans. With coaching the process differs with respect to the coach working with individuals in a mentor relationship to assist them in the decision process of finding a solution

Second, consulting is performed at the organizational level, where coaching is generally done in a one-on-one session.

Our service providers and equipment vendors are providing us with consultation and advice for free. Why should we considered an independent consultant?

Simple, a service provider or vendor has a very basic objective with respect to you, their customer. Keeping you as a customer by selling you more of their products or services. This tends to cloud their objectivity somewhat when it comes to making recommendations. Of course they are going consult and advise you on what’s best for you, but also what’s best for them as well.

An independent consultant or coach, has only one goal, and that is being as objective as possible with respect to what is best for their customer. A reputable independent consultant or coach will also have no allegiances to vendors or service providers as this would also cloud their objectivity.
