                          About the Author

The author of The Corporate Rat Race: The Rats are Winning, Paul Ulasien, is a nationally recognized freelance writer, journalist, and an undergraduate/graduate Professor of Business Management and Information Technology for the University of Phoenix’s John Sperling School of Business where he teaches:

  • Critical Thinking: Strategies in Decision Making
  • Global Business Strategies
  • eBusiness
  • Managing the Enterprise.
  • Human Factors in Technology

He has an MBA from Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas and is currently working on a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.

A respected seminar and keynote speaker, Paul has been a featured keynote at the Association for Financial Professionals; Network World’s “State of the WAN” seminars in Dallas, Washington D.C. and New York City; “Passport to the World - Global Communications Technologies” seminars in Houston, Chicago, Newark and New York City; as well as a keynote and panelist for the Government Services Division Technology Conference in Dallas.

As a business professional, Paul has over 35 years of experience in every level of the business world which is brought into play through his writing. Since his first job in high school as a restaurant worker, Paul has been in sales, engineering, labor relations, management and a successful business owner. The vast amount of experiences that Paul has had over his professional and academic life has brought him into contact with thousands of individuals and experiences, each with a relevant message to tell about the challenges of working in Corporate America.

Today, in addition to his writing and teaching activities, Paul is the founder and Chief Operating Officer or DeafCat Music and DeafCat Records as well as a private consultant and executive coach  based in his home town of Lawrence, KS.
